RoadBotics

I was the in-house designer for RoadBotics, a Pittsburgh start-up that made pavement assessments easy using AI and a mobile phone. In 2022, we were acquired by Michelin and became part of Michelin Mobility Intelligence. Later on, RoadBotics became known as Better Roads, joining the MMI brand along with Safer Roads and Greener Roads.

RoadBotics.com

I designed, edited, and kept our website updated. We used it to explain our product, guide users to the live demo, host sign up forms for webinars, bring in interest with blog posts, and more. It was set up using WordPress and a page builder plugin called Elementor.

Downloadable Guide to Automated Road Assessments

This was an informational booklet created as a lead generator on the RoadBotics website. We wanted to create a downloadable resource that would be helpful to potential clients visiting our website – as long as they filled out our form first.

Text was provided to me and I chose a mix of stock, company, and client photos to use throughout.

social media

We were pretty active on social media. I created both static and animated graphics to go along with captions written by our marketing manager. Because RoadBotics doesn’t exist anymore, these don’t exist online.

Conferences

I created a few backdrops and helped with booth layouts for conferences. RoadBotics averaged 8-10 conferences a year.

This backdrop features a road assessment map from RoadBotics’ online platform, RoadWay. We chose Pittsburgh’s assessment since that is where the company was based. I traced over a screenshot of it in Illustrator so that it could be resized to an 8×8 foot backdrop.

Email Newsletters

We’d send out a few newsletters a month to different groups of recipients. One group was our ‘business development’ group that included people who signed up to receive company news and updates through webinars, gated website content, or social media. Another group was our monthly “Intersection” that featured related industry news and one piece of company-specific content like an employee interview, a news article about the company, etc. I did the graphics for all of them.
