Menard USA is a design-build specialty contractor that does ground improvement for construction sites with problematic soils. I’ve been doing freelance work for them for the last 10 years or so. I, more recently, began doing freelance work for their Canadian division also.
Corporate Brochure
Menard USA wanted to update their corporate brochure. Using text and photos provided to me along with their branding guidelines, I created a 12-page PDF booklet for them to share digitally with potential clients. The layout and design set the groundwork for more specialized brochures about the different sectors Menard works in as well as a few localized ‘Meet the Team” booklets.
Client GIfts
Menard USA would send out small gifts to clients who they haven’t heard from to thank them for being a client while also making sure they don’t forget about them! These are two of those projects that I worked on as a freelance designer.
Tissue Box: This gift was a branded tissue box cover designed to look like a shipping container. The copy for the packaging inserts was given to me and I created a design to match it along with a sticker to add to the mailing boxes.
Valentine’s Day: This gift was a large chocolate heart sent to clients for Valentine’s Day. The text for the package inserts was provided to me with the idea of making it look like a love letter. I also created an address label to match.
Technique Sheets
Both Menard Canada and USA wanted a series of informational one-sheets for each of the ground improvement solutions that they offer. Working with marketing for each division seperately, we came up with two similar sets of technique sheets. I was provided the text and given references and older images to update and redraw the illustrations for each sheet.
