Michelin Mobility Intelligence

I worked as the in-house graphic designer for Michelin Mobility Intelligence, part of the Michelin Group. Michelin Mobility Intelligence (Better Roads and Safer Roads) leverages data for safer mobility for towns, cities, and local governments across the country.

I owned all visual design responsibilities, balancing brand consistency with creative evolution across campaigns, marketing, and internal materials.

Enhancing Traffic Safety Report

As part of a grant received by the Washington Traffic Safety Commission, MMI provided data collection analysis and traffic studies for two counties in Washington state. The results were put together into a Word document, rewritten by team members across several departments and given to me to make into something easily readable by the public. The report is 34 pages long and includes stock photos of King and Yakima counties along with infographics, charts, and maps created by me.

Case Studies

,I originally designed these as case studies for RoadBotics’ clients and then I updated them to match the colors and style of Michelin (who acquired RoadBotics). The text was provided to me and I chose images from each client’s pavement assessment to turn these into a easily readable documents to be used as a resource on our website, shared online by salespeople, and given out at conferences.

Social Media

We kept a pretty active social media presence, mainly on LinkedIn. I created various static and animated graphics to go along with text shared captions.

Michelin Better Roads Data Collection Kit

New Michelin Better Roads clients receive a data collection kit in the mail to help them get started with their road assessment. Inside is a windshield phone mount, a polarizing lens for the camera, some dashboard/windshield wipes, and other helpful accessories, along with a how-to guide explaining how to collect the best quality road network data. We wanted to box to stand out in the mix of regular mail and brown boxes, so I decided to use Michelin’s yellow for the top/front of the box.

Video Editing

I self-taught myself video editing on the job to support our content needs. While my skills are still developing, I’ve been able to create effective, on-brand videos for social media, our website, conferences, and client use.

Conference Booth

We had a few backdrops/booth set ups for MMI. Our main one was a 10×10 foot backlit back drop with small counter that was also lit. I chose a colorful photo of the highways heading into Atlanta, GA, which looked really nice when lit up.
