done!

So this is a bit overdue, but I am finished with school now! Forever. Spent two years studying graphic design, then two more in web design and interactive media. graduated about two weeks ago and it’s pretty awesome to be completely done.

My last day there for the portfolio review. Met and talked to some cool peeps, some in the industry and some not. I had business cards, resumes, stickers, and pins set out for everyone to take and went home with a lot less than I came with which was cool.

I’ll miss being downtown at least four days a week and the pretty awesome teachers I got to know. I’m sure I’ll see them around though and hopefully I’ll move downtown soon! Here’s to the future, woo!

new painting

Tried out some screenprinting! A friend asked if i’d make him art that involved a red fox. I said, okay and this is what happened! It measure about 8in x 12 in or so and is done in acrylics. I painted a mess of orange and yellow and white then screen printed the black over it and I think it turned out to be prettyyyy successful.

Click the image to see the full size version. I made sure that I scanned it in before sending it away, so I maaay be making prints of this soon.

updates!

Just added a website that I finished for the Sewing Suite to the work section.

AND, updated the No Doubt tourbook scrapbook flash interactive….thing. I started this as a class project back in February of this year I think. I’ve been adding, redoing, rewriting, reediting this piece since then and I’ve just got it to almost perfect (for now at least, right?). No Doubt is a band who went on tour in summer of 2009 and I decided to create a scrapbook style digital booklet for it. It is an interactive piece, so… get clicky! There are drag and drop photos, hidden rollovers and animations, live videos, and other stuff. Here are a couple screen shots.

hey!

This is an update from my ipod. how fancyyyy.

…that is all. :)

Zine!

July is “international Zine Month.” So, to celebrate, i made a zine. A zine is basically is a little booklet of black and white xeroxed pages stapled together. The subject can be anything that the creator wants it to be. Mine is a collection of weird, funny, strange, etc conversations between friends and I called He Said, She Said. It’s 24 quarter sized pages and is available on my etsy.com page. For cheap!

Also… I’ve added a cute little flash project on panda bears (my favorite!) that I did for my Computer Based Training II class last quarter. There is a mini Q&A section and an interactive panda map showing where the current population of pandas are living worldwide. The full project is over on the work page, chillin’ in the “multimedia” section.
